National Men's Mental Health Awareness Month

Opportunities abound in June for men who want to learn to live healthier lives, as the month is designated as both National Men's Health Month and National Men's Mental Health Awareness Month. Interestingly, 51.7 percent of women with a mental health condition reported receiving support services in 2021, while only 40 percent of men did, according to the National Institute of Mental Health. However, men account for more deaths by suicide -- almost 80 percent -- according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. 
We also know from the U.S. Surgeon General's 2023 report that loneliness is a factor for most communities, including men. Explore ways men build connections to stave off loneliness and social isolation.
